Aseem Bajaj is an Indian film cinematographer. His famous works include `Teen Patti`, `U Me aur Hum`, `Sunday`, `Shabd`, `Chameli` and `Hazaron Khwaishein Aisi`. Aseem’s cinematography can be seen in Dia Mirza’s debut production, `Love Breakups, Zindagi’, set to release in 2001. The multi-award winning cinematographer has taken home the coveted trophy of the Best Cinematographer at the Asian Festival for 1st films. The striking part about his achievement is that despite everything at his disposal, he preferred to chalk out his own line.
Aseem pursued theatre under the aegis of `Act 1`, set up by veteran N K Sharma with an alumni including Manoj Bajpai, Ashish Vidyarthi and several others. Though he was mainly involved with backstage and production work, he learnt the basics of music and lighting under Ashok Bhagat.
The son of theatre veteran and noted emeritus of NSD, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Aseem decided not to pursue education beyond 12th and nurture his dream since the age of 9 – that of becoming an actor. He married filmmaker Leena Yadav in 2001.
