Karan Singh Grover is an Indian actor and model who has appeared in a number of television shows including Dill Mill Gayye and Qubool Hai, as well as the Indian film 'Alone'.
Grover was born in New Delhi, India to a Punjabi Sikh family. He has one younger brother. When he was young his family moved to Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. He did his schooling at International Indian School Dammam. In 2000, he moved to Mumbai and pursued a degree in Hotel Management from IHM Mumbai, Dadar Catering College. He was also part of a band called the Thousand Decibels during his college days. After completing his degree he worked as a Marketing Executive in the Sheraton Hotel in Oman.
In 2004 he pursued a career in modelling and participated in the Gladrags Manhunt Contest and won the award of the most popular model. In 2013, Grover was featured at number 13 in Asia's top 50 Sexiest Man on the Planet list. In 2014 he was featured at number 12 in Asia's top 50 Sexiest Man on Planet list. He has been featured multiple times in iTimes top 50 most desirable men list. In 2010, he was at number 24, 29 in 2011, 39 in 2012 and was listed at number 18 in 2013.
Grover began his television career with Balaji Telefilms' Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi on MTV India. In 2007 Grover joined the cast of Dill Mill Gayye, a medical youth drama. Whilst shooting for the show he also participated in a few reality shows, he hosted Zara Nachke Dikha, contested and became a finalist in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 3) and also participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi.
In the end of 2012 Grover returned to daily soaps with 4 Lions Films' Qubool Hai and won two Best Actor Awards for his portrayal of Asad Ahmed Khan. In May 2014 Grover became a producer with 4 Lions Films. He also started shooting for the Indian Film 'Alone' which co-starred Bipasha Basu, and was directed by Bhushan Patel. It released on January 16, 2015
