Neetu Kapoor also known as Neetu Singh is an Indian Bollywood Actress. She worked as a child artist under the name Baby Sonia, playing 'Roopa' in the 1966 movie `Dus Lakh` and a dual role in the hit film `Do Kaliyan`. Her other notable films were `Waris` and `Pavitra Paapi`.
Neetu Singh made her debut as an actress in 1972 with `Rikshawala`, followed by a cameo role in the superhit film `Yaadon Ki Baarat` (1973), and she was noticed for her sizzling dance number `Lekar Hum`, so much that she was offered a number of lead roles and went on to act with the top stars of her day, especially Rishi Kapoor, her current husband, with whom she appeared in 11 films.
In 2010, she starred in `Do Dooni Chaar`, in which she was paired opposite Rishi Kapoor, which won her the nomination for Best Actress for the Star Screen Awards. She also won, along with Rishi Kapoor, the Best Lifetime Jodi for the 2011 Zee Cine Awards. On screen and off it, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor fell in love. This led to the couple tying the knot in 1979 after a much publicized engagement that was the talk of Bollywood. Neetu was 21 at that time. She was at the top of her career, having just been nominated for a Filmfare Award as Best Supporting Actress for `Kaala Pathar` (1979), but she retired.
