Rajat Arora is an Indian screenwriter and film dialogue writer of Hindi films. He is most known for his films The Dirty Picture (2011), Once Upon a Time in Mumbai (2010) and Taxi Number 9211 (2006). He is a commerce graduate from Delhi University, and an alumnus of Asian Academy of Film & Television, Noida.
Rajat Arora moved to Mumbai in 2001 to become a film lyricist, though he started career as a co-writer in noted investigative TV Series, CID (2002-2007) and horror TV series, Aahat, which led to his first break as screenwriter with Bluffmaster! (2005) wherein he wrote the dialogues, followed by films like Rajkumar Santoshi's Family: Ties of Blood (2006) and Taxi Number 9211 (2006).
He thus went to become a noted screenwriter and dialogue writer in Hindi cinema, he also wrote story of many films. He received critical acclaim for national award winning movie - The Dirty Picture (2011) and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2012).
Rajat also turned a lyricist with The Dirty Picture (2011), for which he also wrote story and dialogues. His upcoming projects are Salman Khan starrer Kick (2014) remake of 2009 Telugu blockbuster by the same name and an untitled remake of a 2011 Telugu hit, Kandireega produced by Ekta Kapoor.
