Sonali Kulkarni is an Indian actress. Born in Pune, Kulkarni first made her appearance on the silver screen in a Kannada movie titled 'Cheluvi', and thereafter has appeared in a total of 32 movies, including an Italian film titled 'Fuoco Si Di Me' for which she won an award in the 2006 Milan International Film Festival. She received a Special Jury Award (non-feature film) in the 49th National Film Awards (2002) for her role in a short film in Marathi Chaitra (film). Apart from acting, she is also an editor with 'Viva', a supplement of 'Loksatta', and pens a weekly column called 'So Kool'. Now, these columns are being published in book 'So Kool' by Rajahansa Prakashan. Sonali has shown her dancing skills in a popular dance program (Jhalak dikla jaa) on Sony TV. She was married to famous Marathi play director Chandrakant Kulkarni for a while, but got divorced. In May 2010, she married the Managing Director of Fox Television Studio India, Nachiket Pantvaidya, in a low profile wedding ceremony.
