A complete mix of all the right elements - Romance, Music, Action, Thrill and Suspense!

Mohit Suri steps out of his mentor Bhatt Film's banner under Ekta Kapoor's wing with the love story of a gangster EK VILLAIN. He has proved his mettle as a filmmaker with films like 'Aashiqui 2' and 'Kalyug' and this time he takes the bar even higher with a film that will not just entertain you, but will stay with you even after you have left the cinema hall.

Guru (Sidharth Malhotra), a dreaded gangster meets Aisha (Shraddha Kapoor) who brings light to his otherwise dark life. His perfect love story hits a major roadblock when Aisha falls prey to an unfortunate event. Guru manages to hunt down the culprit Rakesh (Riteish Deshmukh) but fails to understand his motives.

EK VILLAIN is an unofficial remake of Korean film 'I saw the Devil'. The basic plot is intriguing and stands out.

Tushar Hiranandani's brilliant writing and Mohit's exceptional hold on the film's narration is the main highlight of the film. EK VILLAIN is by far his best work and we can vouch for that.

Casting Director Aadore Mukherjee Mehra sure chose each star meticulously and envisioned them to play the respective roles, even the supporting actors fit the bill perfectly.

Sidharth Malhotra will surprise you pleasantly with this one. The actor has sure upped his ante and we hope that the graph keeps moving up.

Riteish Deshmukh is seen like never before and for all those who thought that comedy is his forte, this film will make you think again. He shows versatality and gives a very honest performance.

Shraddha Kapoor not just plays the girl-next-door, her character has life and she lives up to it. However, we strongly believe that its Suri who presents her really well.

Aamna Sharif makes a comeback to films with this one and does a decent job. Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK who plays a small role in the film has delivered an average performance as a comedian.

Suri's films have always been laced with good music and this one's no different. 'Galiyaan' and 'Zaroorat' are songs that will stay in the audiences' heart for long. Background score adds momentum to the story.

EK VILLAIN has all the right elements of romance, music, action, thrill and suspense in the correct mix that will keep you glued to your seats till the last credits roll.

Milan Milap Zaveri's dialogues have entertained us in multiple flicks and he does not let the villains down as well.

We are going for a three and a half star for this one.

EK VILLAIN is a complete entertainer and gives your every penny spent the right worth. And if not for anything else, do watch it for Riteish Deshmukh who is absolutely breathtaking in the film.
