A run of the mill romedy!

When you have a tagline like 'Cucking Frazy', you expect a movie that will blow your mind. But does the film live upto it? Let's find out!

Karan Johar is often criticized for producing movies that are high on glamour and low on content, but going by the promos, 'Hasee Toh Phasee' did not look like a big-budget movie and the actress is looking far from a diva.

'Hasee Toh Phasee' is a story about a cool guy Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra) turn insecure after a relationship with an actress, Karishma Solanki (Adah Sharma).

From IPL bids to surprises, he plans it all to keep her happy, but nothing works. And then enters his crazy to-be saali Meeta (Parineeti Chopra).

Meeta is a geeky-freaky scientist who was on drugs and now she pops pills like they are candies. From having sugar-high stuff to eating toothpaste, Meeta does it all and yes she even converses in Chinese.

Meeta has always been different from her four sisters who are more girly and only her Baba (Manoj Joshi) truly loves her and understands her craziness.

Nikhil and Karishma are set to exchange wedding vows and how Meeta's entry makes the entire situation chaotic, rather 'Frazy', is what the film is all about.

Parineeti Chopra proves her talent once again. She is an amazing actress who has a solid comic timing which works for the movie. While she scores on acting, she lacks in looks and her dancing skills are pretty average.

Sidharth for sure can't 'Shake It Like Shammi (Kapoor)'. The actor can barely move and when it comes to acting, he will remind you of Arjun Rampal a decade ago. While he may lack in talent, his looks make up for the loss as he is a stunner.

Adah Sharma looks gorgeous in the 'Shake it like Shammi' song and she plays her character very well. Manoj Joshi makes you teary when he has that emotional moment with his daughter.

Vinil Matthew makes an impressive directorial debut; he creates moments that are giggly and a few that are crazy too.

Story by Harshvardhan Kulkarni is unique, however, the screenplay by him lacks a smooth flow.

There are a few loose ends. The China plot is not justified, neither is the seven years Meeta going missing part and the sudden emotional burst out about her father.

Music by Vishal-Shekhar is average. Tracks like 'Drama Queen' and 'Shake It Like Shammi' are more fun to watch than hear.

Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap have joined hands again for 'Hasee Toh Phasee' and one expected something really unique from the collaboration. However, 'Hasee toh Phasee' is more of a KJO movie and less of Kashyap cinema.

Few moments make it 'Hasee Toh Phasee', that too if you believe in romance, otherwise don't 'Phaso' in the usual trap.
