A perfect masala flick...

The 1983 Bollywood action drama feature film is a remake of Telugu film Ooriki Monagadu. Himmatwala was one of the top five grossers of 1983 directed by Raghavendra Rao. The movie that was declared a Box Office Hit established Sridevi as a star in Hindi cinema. Her chemistry with Jitendra was openly accepted by the audience.

The music of the film, especially with the hit track Naino Mein Sajna, is commendable with Bappi Lahiri composing the tracks. The cinematography is catchy, especially during the songs.

Raghavendra Rao' direction with  Bappi Lahiri's music in a complete masaaledar flick. And with Jeetendra and Sreedevi performaing for them, the film is even more fun to watch. It has the exact masala needed for an ideal Hindi film of the 80's.
