Like any other Hrishikesh Mukherjee films Khubsoorat is yet another treat for all the movie lovers. There is right amount of fun, romance and emotions that will grip you from the beginning till the end.
Khubsoorat revolves around the Gupta family headed by Nirmala Gupta (Dina Pathak), wife of Dwarka Prasad Gupta (Ashok Kumar). While most of her family resent this, they do obey her instructions, so as to be on her good side. However things start to change after her second son gets married to Anju. Manju (Rekha), Anju's sister, comes over to stay for a few days with the Gupta family. Manju resents the manner in which Mrs gupta treats people, and she feels some permanent changes are needed in the Gupta household. What follows is a fun ride of the story with great music and simple and connectable scenes.
Hrishikesh Mukherjee has created his magic yet again and it is in the list of classics even today. Script by Gulzar and music by R D Burman are great additions to the beautiful direction.
Rekha proved her best as a comedy actress through this movie. Her chirpy attitude and her innocense is something that any young girl could relate to. Rekha's chemistry with Rakesh Roshan worked wonders for the movie. The movie is another must watch from the era of 80's.
