Its the era of the ISIS expansion in the middle east, 25 Indian and 15 Pakistani nurses are taken down as hostages in an Iraqi hospital and the American intelligence is going to take down the entire area with an Air-strike. The Indian-American alliances don't work and blood-shed is all over on the ISIS triumph. The RAW Intelligence officer Shenoy feels Tiger is the right man for this mission to finish this task and rescue nurses safely. The ISIS head Abu Usman played by Sajjad Delafrooz is a ferocious autocratic command-in-chief and acted wonderfully portraying the exact ISIS philosophy. The film begins with a set-up of a secret mission that is extremely intriguing and you will feel like you are already watching some Hollywood flick. The nation wants Tiger (Salman Khan) who is one of the finest undercover agents of the Indian intelligence agency, RAW. He takes up an operation that nobody else could. The surprise joining to this mission is Pakistani agent Zoya (Katrina Kaif), who is on the same duty as Tiger and work things out as a team. They stay secretly in the Alps of Austria as husband and wife and even has an adorable kid but now on a quest to solve a mission for their nation.
To spice up the action-heist, the members of this mission are Kumud Mishra, the chemical engineer, Angad Bedi from the Bomb Squad and Saqib Saleem an Indian-Army Sniper who has an eye of an eagle. Two Pakistani officers from the Pakistani intelligence join Zoya in the middle of the mission. Now India and Pakistan working together is no more a myth. Few deep conversations are the dialogues coming from Kumud Mishra who says if India-Pakistan were never separated, Sachin and Afridi could have played together, we could have lined up series of trophies in our bags. Adding to this, the Pakistani officer replies that the legendary singers like Kishore Kumar, Lata ji and Mohammad Rafi could have worked along with Nushrat Fateh Ali sahab. Dialogues to remember in this flick are Salman Khan's one-liners that are some whistleblowing moments for his fans. Whether it is ''Tiger se behtar Shikaar koi nahi kar sakta'' while facing deadly wolves from the Alps or confronting the Villain and saying ''Dum hai toh Tiger ko rok k dikha''. Salman's swag is leaving everyone behind. Paresh Rawal as Firdaus adds a bit of comic flavour in this flick.
Talking about its songs, to begin with, is Dil Diyan Gallan a traditional soulful Sufi song in Punjabi composed by Vishal-Shekhar and performed by Atif Aslam while the song's lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil. This gracious romantic song has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. What made this beautiful song a joy to watch is the picturesque location of Austria. The next song 'Tera Noor' is a sufi song shows act of violence the ISIS do with the women. Ending the film in a light-hearted way, Salman-Katrina embraces the audience with 'Swag se Swagat' song where the duo creates a flamboyant party peppy number in the voice of Vishal Dadlani, Neha Bhasin and couple of rap verses by Raftaar. The exotic locations of Greece fulfill the true charm of this song.
Reviewing this blockbuster in technical terms, the scenes are an absolute visual delight and the Direction of Photography could not get better than this. The reason for this bashing Blockbuster action flick is Ian Pead the action choreographer who has worked on blockbusters like 'Skyfall' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. Also working on the post-production and lining up these hardcore action sequences is Ryan Sturz who also worked on films like 'Logan' and 'The return of the Xander Cage.'
Cinematically the film is really to the next level and matches the audience expectation at its core. Cinematography by Marcin Laskawiec and Arkadiusz Tomiak is allusive and majestic.
A worthy flick that gives a stand-alone message to the two rival nations India and Pakistan. Give it a sure-shot watch.
