    I think the problem is the infantalization of adults. Childish and silly behavior is far from the domain of those under 20, 30, 40. One need only spend a brief period in a store or restaurant to witness seniors acting like twits -- throwing tantrums. So, Is anyone really surprised that this movie is going to bomb? Why does it seem that everyone in the business of making movies is so oblivious as to what makes a GOOD movie?

    Because Ron Howard helped Jennifer win an Oscar for "A Beautiful Mind," she probably owes him. Besides, these producers highly compensate their actors, even if the final product is not-so-great. So they won't bother if they make a lame movie like this one!

    Mind you, I enjoy movies like Animal House and Dumb and Dumber as much as I enjoy my classics, too. But it seems like the "sophisticated man" from the classics is hard to find on camera. I don't know if it's just that people don't care for that style of depiction anymore or that the money's not there to be made with the kind of movies those characters appear in or if television sitcom script structure is to blame or whether screenwriters, actors and directors just can't get "it" to work on that level anymore. I do wish someone knew so there'd be some movies that cater to our tastes but...

    This movie had a lot of potential, it just didn't produce it. OK..OK..it wasn't 'awful', but it wasn't OH MY GAWD this is great either.
