English Vinglish actor Adil Hussain won the Best Actor award at the Amanda Award or the Norwegian National Awards the Scandinavian country’s top national film honour. Adil, who won the award for the film What Will People Say took to Twitter and said that the award is for all those who believe that art can break boundaries. He wrote, ''Grateful to have Received the Amanda Awards Norwegia National Awards for Best Actor in a leading role for, brilliantly directed by Iram Haq. This award is for Goalpara, Assam, India for all those who believe that art can break all boundaries of all kinds.'' Adil grew up in the small town of Goalpara located in the heart of Assam.
Not stopping at this Adil Hussain starrer is declared Norway's official entry to the 2019 Oscars. Overwhelmed with joy the actor shared this news too on his twitter handle. Talking about the film, in an interview to a leading daily, the actor said, ''One of the casting directors in India contacted me and then I spoke to the director. I really liked the script. I had also liked her first film. This film opened in Toronto International Film Festival and has travelled to many others. The film was very successful in Norway where it ran for six months.''
