Neeraj Pandey directed 'Aiyaary' has postponed once again and the reason is not the clash it is having. The fact is that this Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee and Rakul Preet Singh starrer thriller has yet not been cleared for release by the Central Board Of Film Certification. Based on a sensitive subject taking a dig over the corruption in Indian Army, the film is been reviewed by the Ministry of Defence that suggested few changes after which CBFC will grant them a censor certification after making the asked modifications.
Trade Analyst tweeted the new release date for the film. His tweet read ''It's CONFIRMED... #Aiyaary shifted to 16 Feb 2018.'' Looks like the box-office clashes is not the reason for the consecutive delay of the film.
Earlier Aiyaary was set to release on 26th January along with Akshay Kumar's 'Padman'. However, after Padmaavat's new release date opting to be 25th January, both 'Padman' and 'Aiyaary' shifted their release date to 9th Feb. But now 'Aiyaary' marks a new release date which is 16th Feb.
Now the Neeraj Pandey film will clash with Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem starrer romantic-comedy 'Dil Juunglee'. In an interview, Sidharth said, "Yes, it irritates, but now it's too late. What can we do now? We announced the date first. When PadMan makers unveiled their release date, we were gracious enough to shift our release date to avoid the clash. I was not expecting the makers of PadMan to release their film with us, especially the second time. We thought we will get a solo release."
