Anurag Basu directorial 'Imli' that already roped in Kangana Ranaut has finally locked the male lead by signing Rajkummar Rao. This will be their third film together after Vikas Bahl's 'Queen' and Ekta Kapoor's 'Mental Hai Kya'. A close source confirmed the news and said, "Rajkummar has been signed for the film opposite Kangana. This is his first film with Basu. He is very excited to work with him, as it was always his dream to be a part of an Anurag Basu movie. Raj also happens to be a fan of love stories, so that makes this all the more special."
Moreover, Kangana Ranaut is Anurag Basu's find and debut in his 2006 film 'Gangster'. Talking about the film Kangana said, "It's too early to talk about Imali as we are starting the film around the end of the year. All I can say is that Anurag is my godfather and everything I am today is because of him. I can't wait to go back to the beginning."
The film is a simple love story though not much is revealed about the plot. Ideally back to back films together will be a challenge for both the actors as they have to function in quite a versatile manner.
