While the film poster was released few days ago, the trailer followed in too as soon as the release date was locked. An amazing and refreshing trailer one must say!

The Fakir of Venice is a story of deceitful men who are set to fool European Art World; played by Farhan and Annu Kapoor. Trailer opens with Farhan's onscreen character being asked to find a fakir who can bury himself under sand for long hours for an art installation project. And there begins his journey which takes him to every nook and corner of India, discovering Annu's character who agrees to participate in his plan.

Trailer captures some jolly good moments of the two, when they are off work and some funny moments when Fakir played Annu is too high to interact with the people around him. Annu Kapoor is seen sporting a typical sadhu baba saffron outfits through the movie trailer.

CBFC has granted a UA certificate in March 2017. The movie ran into several hurdles due to internal issues confirmed the makers.

Producer Punit Desai, "There were production issues that resulted in the film getting repeatedly delayed. We have now locked the January date." He further added, "AR Rahman was working on the music, so we had to wait. There were also some internal issues. Farhan still looks the same."
