Shoojit Sircar is known for his simplest slice of life films, and after getting critical admiration for his film 'Piku', expectations are high for his next film titled 'October', which is also a slice-of-life film but with a twist. The team already wrapped up the shooting of the film in just 38 days. After a tight schedule in Delhi, the team wrapped up the shoot in Manali.
The lead of the film Varun Dhawan, who has collaborated with Shoojit for the first time, posted pictures from Manali and wrote, "#October wraps in November. Will release in April and will stay with you forever." The actor announced the release date of the film via a video on his twitter handle. Click here for the video.
The actor had recently shot for the film poster with no props, studio set-up or artificial light, but in natural light. This experience of shooting in natural light was loved by the 30-year-old actor.
The promotional campaign for the film was shot by lensman Jatin Kampani. Talking about this unique experience of filming in natural light Varun said, "First time shot a film poster in complete natural light, just surrounded by nature and realness. Hope what I have gone through in this film comes alive for everyone soon. October. April 13," the Judwa 2 actor tweeted.
October also stars debutant Banita Sandhu opposite to Varun Dhawan. This Shoojit Sircar directed film is slated to release on April 13.
