'Prem Mein Tohre' is the first song from the film which was released by the makers. It brought back yesteryear singer Asha Bhosle back to singing again in movie and Vidya Balan feels priviledged to lip sync a song which is sung by Asha Bhosle. 'Making of Prem Mein Tohre' shows Asha Bhosle and Anu Malik during the recording of the song. Anu Malik has composed the music for the film and this composition of his stands out really very well. There is no doubt the song become a big hit with Asha Bhosle's magical voice, the song comes at a point in the film when Begum Jaan's brothel is destroyed while drawing the Radcliffe line. The second song from the film 'Aazaadiyan' showed the dark truth and the story at the time of partition. As thousands and lakhs of people had to migrate from one place to another, rather from one nation to another, migration was not that easy. As it showed the partition between the two princely states of India and Pakistan, director Srijit Mukherji decided to bring two of the best voices together from either sides of the border. Sonu Nigam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan were roped in to voice the songs and the output which came was tremendous. The song became the iconic song soon after its release and was loved by the music lovers.
